Safety and security film is worth considering when glass breakage itself creates risk, or when delaying fast entry through glazing would improve the outcome.
That often includes shopfront doors, public-facing glass, childcare or school glazing, reception areas, exposed home entries and common-area glazing in strata buildings.
The right expectation matters. Security film can help hold broken glass together and may help slow down quick entry, but it does not make the glass bulletproof or indestructible.
The glass type, frame condition and installation detail still matter. On more demanding jobs, the recommendation may need to go beyond film alone.
