Reflective window film can improve daytime privacy when it is brighter outside than inside. It does not provide the same privacy after dark: with the lights on indoors, people outside may be able to see in.
If you need privacy at night while keeping a clear daytime view, blinds or curtains may still be needed. Frosted film can obscure the view through glass, but it also reduces your view out. The result depends on the product, lighting and how close people are to the glass.
